Originally, the prince [tweeted](https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1514683079968931841?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1514683079968931841%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bloomberg.com%2Fnews%2Farticles%2F2022-04-14%2Fbillionaire-prince-alwaleed-rejects-musk-s-twitter-bid) that Musk’s offer didn’t come “close to the intrinsic value of Twitter.” Musk responded by asking him about “the Kingdom’s views on journalistic freedom of speech.” In a flip-flop, the prince is now putting up $1.9B in financing and tweeted that Musk will be an “excellent leader.” **What happens now?** *CNBC* [reported](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/05/05/elon-musk-expected-to-serve-as-temporary-twitter-ceo-after-deal-closes.html) Musk is expected to become Twitter’s CEO for a few months. Current CEO Parag Agrawal, who himself has had the gig for just a few months, is set to receive [$42m](https://www.reuters.com/technology/twitter-ceo-set-receive-42-million-if-terminated-after-musk-deal-2022-04-25/) if he loses his job.
